Webinar on Youth-led Business Recovery and Resilience: Lessons Learnt for Progress

• PREPARE NOW TO TAKE PART: Development Research and Training (DRT) on behalf of The Initiative for Youth Empowerment and Transformation (IYET) is planning a series of webinars to discuss and share best practices and inform Uganda’s post-Covid-19 national recovery programming to effectively support youth-led businesses in Uganda

While the coronavirus pandemic is taking an upward trend, measures to curb the spread of Covid-19 in Uganda are progressively impacting small and medium enterprises and most importantly young people’s businesses.

The first series of the webinar will address the theme: “Youth-led business recovery and resilience: Lessons learnt for progress ” and will examine how young people’s businesses are coping and building resilience during the COVID-19 pandemic? The first webinar is scheduled to take place on 4th August.

The webinar will seek to highlight best practices, challenges, and recommendations on:

  • What factors enhance growth and resilience for young people’s businesses? How are partners building resilience and shaping young people’s businesses and enterprises?
  • What sort of support is required or offered to young people to survive and build resilience for their businesses? How can  women and young people best be supported to continue to benefit from the different agricultural value chains
  • What needs to be included for development planning to enhance young people’s business growth in the post pandemic future?

This webinar is scheduled to take place on Aug 4, 2020 10:00 AM Nairobi time.  Topic: Youth-led Business Recovery and Resilience: Lessons learnt for progress
